The new CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure certification program prepares you for today’s expert-level job roles in enterprise infrastructure technologies. CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure now includes automation and programmability to help you scale your enterprise infrastructure.
One of the industry’s most respected certifications, CCIE distinguishes you as a technical leader.
To earn CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure, you pass two exams: a qualifying exam and hands-on lab exam.
First, take the qualifying exam, Implementing and Operating Cisco Enterprise Network Core Technologies (ENCOR 350-401), which focuses on your knowledge of enterprise networking infrastructure.
You can prepare for this exam by taking the training course, Implementing and Operating Cisco Enterprise Network Core Technologies (ENCOR).
The qualifying exam earns a Specialist certification, so you can get recognized for your accomplishments along the way.
Second, take the 8-hour, hands-on lab exam, CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure v1.0. This exam covers the end-to-end lifecycle of a complex enterprise networks, from designing, through deploying, operating and optimizing.
On February 24, 2020, the new 350-401 ENCOR exam will replace the CCIE Written 5.0 exam. After you pass 350-401 ENCOR, you will earn the Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Core certification.
On April 27, 2020, the new CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure Lab Exam v1.0 will replace the current CCIE Routing and Switching Lab Exam.
That means that between February 24 and April 27, 2020, to earn CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure, you must pass the 350-401 ENCOR exam and the CCIE Routing and Switching lab exam.
If you pass the current CCIE Routing and Switching Written v5.0 exam before February 24, you'll be eligible to take the CCIE lab exam that is available when you test, either CCIE Routing and Switching or CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure.
If you complete the entire CCIE Routing and Switching certification before April 27, then on April 27, you'll automatically receive the new CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure, which you can maintain as per new recertification guidelines.
There are no formal prerequisites for CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure, but you should have a thorough understanding of the exam topics before taking the exam.
CCIE candidates are recommended to have five to seven years of experience with designing, deploying, operating and optimizing enterprise networking technologies and solutions prior to taking the exam.
CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure certification is valid for three years. For more information about recertifying, visit the Recertification page.
